A Spiritual Journey

Well hello there and happy Monday! I hope everyone is doing quite fine this morning. I am definitely enjoying Spring Break with my children and also loving the extra time I get to meditate!

For today's link up with Soul Food Monday's, I found a poem that inspired me and I related too. When I first started this blog my intentions were always to share with others in hopes that I can help or offer a smile to anyone all over the world. To share tips and tricks I come across to help make life a bit easier and to share my story as a being and maybe set an example to others or receive insight from wise souls.

So today I want to share with you that I have been meditating! I had been on and off for almost a year until I began about a month ago to really do it everyday at least once. There is something about those 15 minutes. It's just so fulfilling. It's peaceful at times but mostly clear. It has allowed me to tap into feelings I didn't know I still had and although I may be nervous I am also excited to finally confront them and be able to walk away soon and let go! (balloons, balloons!!!)

I feel that I am in a point in my life where I know what I want and am willing to do what I have to, to get it. (one step at a time) I have already accepted that I have to LOVE MYSELF and get to KNOW MYSELF first in order for life to fall into place. Sometimes its so hard that you kind of need that moment of silence so you can truly hear within yourself what is your inner peace. I am on that journey and prepared for any of the bad that will resurface because I know it will result for all GOOD! Meditating has given me that opportunity for growth. Thank you to my Mother of Pearl, that introduced this insight to self spiritual growth. Hope you guys enjoy the poem!

A Spiritual Journey

© Wind Walker
Across from the mountains,
A little house sits in the tree's,
I'm lost in tranquility,
As my soul tries to breath.

White clouds moving slowly,
The breeze a calm still,
I'm caught in the moment,
As my heart starts to heal.

A piece of me,
In the startling blue sky,
As I spread my wings,
My soul starts to fly.

I fly to unknown places,
Where pain and hurt once dwelled,
As the memories flow pass me,
My eyes start to swell.

Tear drops drip slowly,
Down my cheeks,
The wind wipes them dry,
And gives me some peace.

Soaring so free,
Over water and land,
My Spirit Guide gently,
Takes me by my hand.

He shows me what was,
And what's meant to be,
And why my life,
Is so important it seems.

A long soar,
Like the eagle high,
I bow my head,
And I start to cry.

Back on the land,
Across from the tree's,
I began to realize,
What healing means.

It mean's not to forget,
Let the past flow,
Of all the horrors,
One soul had to go.

To take the strengths,
And apply them to life,
Is a valuable lesson,
I've learnt this flight.

Alone in the sunset,
I watch it go down,
When I finally realize,
What peace I have found.

Stuffed Cupcakes

Hey there Hey!

I hope everyone is doing lovely this Friday afternoon! In my little side of the Empire it's a bit gloomy but perfect Spring break weather to spend time with the kids baking and watching movies. Right now we are watching Circus De Soleil. I am guessing it's their most recent show. WOW! Is all I can say. My eldest is even saying how inspired she is and wants to get into acrobats and gymnastic. She loves the performing arts! I wish to someday be in the audience front row watching her live while she performs. (sighs)

I wanted to share a very yummy recipe I have never tried before. It came out AMAZINGLY TASTY and I can't wait to try it again as well as other creations I come up with. I love cooking and baking as I have mentioned before in other posts. Today I went "KID" all the way!!! We made chocolate cupcakes stuffed with triple Oreo cookies and chocolate frosting! YES!!! All that yumminess for your tummy's! Hope you ENJOY this as much as I have with my little ones.

My list was very simple. It was 1 box of chocolate cake mix, 1 bag of Nestle chocolate chip morsels (that last for multiple uses), 1 bag of triple Oreo cookies and 1 chocolate rich & creamy Hershey's frosty.

In a bowl I then mixed the cake box with ingredients required. The eggs (4), oil (always add a little extra), water (I sometimes replace with milk), etc. After I made sure the mix was rich, creamy and smooth I based the bottom of the cupcake liners with a teaspoon of the cake batter. I then delicately, (LOL) placed a triple Oreo in the middle, I added a few chocolate chip morsels (this helps with keeping the batter moist) and topped it with more cake batter. Just like you would fill normally. Not all the way to top so it doesn't over flow but just enough.

You then put this deliciousness in the oven to bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes, top with chocolate frosty and voila!!!

OH SO TASTY!!! Best cupcakes I have made yet!!!

Hope you all enjoyed reading this post and get motivated to make some of these for you and your LOVES!

I am an Artist

" I am an artist. I am passionate. I embrace and feed off change. I get over dramatic and very excited. I get jealous and humble. I am not perfect and never will be. I respect those that should be respected. I value honesty and can't stand the BULL----! I speak my mind. I stir the pot. I encourage, critique, and give often my opinion. I can be positive and negative. I question everything - I am an artist."
